Brief:

Rise Festival

Rise is Europe’s next big youth music and ski festival. A week of snow sports, music and entertainment in the French Alpes, it’s a once in a lifetime holiday in a unique setting. Create the initial branding and a look and feel to work across a range of assets from Print through to digital and everything in between.

What was

delivered?

The look and feel for the Rise project was very illustrative to convey the fun and eclectic personality of Rise as there is much more going on that just the skiing.

Branding

The branding included creating a name for the festival. ‘Rise’ stood out the most after consideration. It represented both the location and the music and signified movement and positivity.

Social

Design for the Rise festival included skins for the facebook and twitter pages and creating a number of weekly posts reporting events and acts at the festival

Website

We wanted to do something different with the Rise website. The festival has lots of different events and activities split up into 6 different areas and we wanted to show these off in a entertaining way. I created a one page scrollable design with a parallax effect.

There are 6 main areas at the festival and these are broke down into sections which move at different rates as the user scrolls.
Each section shows more information on the kinds of events and activities happening in each area

Iconography

A range of fun icons were produced to be used in marketing presentations, print materials and the website.

Flyers

and posters

Various flyers and posters were produced in the months leading up to, and during the festival to promote price offers and new acts announced.

Design for the event

I created the lanyards, tickets, wristbands and a printed map of the site which included a schedule of events on the back

Merchandise

I created a design to be used on a range of merchandise including t-shirts, hoodies, and beanies
